Dawn Rainbow is a suprising snakebark maple. At a young age, this maple grows fairly vigorously showing not much variegation. As this tree matures and slows down the variegation appears to show off the masterpiece that has been created. The variegation on Dawn Rainbow is different from many other maples as it is a pink to white dusting across a green leaf that is exceptionally beautiful. The best part about this type of variegation is that it doesn t revert. Once your tree slows down in its youth-like vigor in just a few short years this variegation begins to pop.

As snakebark maples mature, their bark becomes striated with black and white streaks, giving a unique winter interest that is quite appealing.

Fall color on Dawn Rainbow may range from bright yellows to deep maroons depending on environmental conditions such as weather, lighting conditions, and moisture content in the soil.

Dawn Rainbow can reach 10-12 ft tall and wide in 15 years with an upright and sometimes semi-pendulous habit.
