This Japanese maple leafs out in the early spring as a pink-red with mature leaves that are extremely round. Protection from the hot afternoon sun is suggested for best coloration and growth. This rounded pink-red amoenum leaf is very fitting on this dense dwarf that only reaches 6 ft in 15 years. As the summer approaches this selection fades to a deep maroon with shades of deep green.
